History

  • William Vastine Hughes (Vastine Hughes) started manufacturing structural steel fabrication after returning home to Texas from the Vietnam War. He curated his craft while working for oil and gas manufacturing business and Co-owning Cross Line, LLC. In 1986, the crude oil economy collapsed along with his partnership.
  • Late 1986, he saw the continued demand for fabrication and used his knowledge, skills and contacts to establish Hughes Fabrication & Welding, LLC.

  • In 2000, Vastine’s son, Cody Hughes, joined the team and became particularly interested in the engineering and design of manufacturing.
  • 2006 – Vastine Hughes liquated Hughes Fabrication & Welding, LLC to establish Hughes Fabrication & Welding Inc. With son, Cody Hughes as co-owner.
  • 2011 – Cody Hughes and Vastine Hughes become partners and est HFW INC.
  • 2018 – Cody Hughes becomes sole owner of HFW, Inc.
